As we look back at the past year since the July 10th Flood that devasted our small town, it is only fitting to share a poem written by a young girl. We believe that she captures what the true meaning of 'VT Strong' is all about. Please see the bottom of this page for the link to her poem that was sent to us.

Community Center Upcoming Events: (see more information on Local Events Tab to the left of this home page)

With the help of local residents and our recreation department, our Ludlow Community Center (located behind the Army Tank) has been looking to expand its list of events that will be taking place over the next few months as a way to Give Back to our Community who is always there to support us! These events are free of charge to participate, however participation may be limited. More specific dates will be posted on this website under the Local Events Tab as the event gets closer and we are made aware of them.

List of Upcoming Events:

Sept. 2024 - Cooking with a Local Chef, Chef Alfonzo from the Castle Inn

Sept. 2024 - Community Luncheon

October 2024 - Holiday Pies

November 2024 - Holiday Gifts (ie cookie mix in a jar etc..)

December 2024 - Holiday Cookies

Fall 2024 - Craft Classes (snacks & drinks will be provided)

Fall 2024 - Belly Dance Instruction

Spring 2025 - Mom's Prom

The Community Center & its 'Nourishing Neighbors' volunteers will continue to pass out bagged lunches with bottled water throughout the summer.

This will happen in various locations as the last one was done on the corner of Main Street and 25 bagged lunches were distributed to those passing by (walkers and auto).

There will be a lemonade stand (sponsored by the Community Center) throughout the summer for the local children to sign up to 'man the stand' for a specific personal goal and earn the amount of donations they collect throughout the day- just another way to try to give back to our local youth!

Any questions about these events should be directed to our Ludlow Recreation Dept. & Community Center Office # 802-228-2655 and speak to either Mark Aumand or Nick Miele.
